I would like to thank our entire school community for your understanding and support in these uncertain times. My message to our families and community is to be safe and enjoy the break, check in with neighbours and consider a random act of kindness for someone who you know or someone you don't know. This is a time for everyone to consider others, we are all in this together.
My staff have been working extremely hard to ensure learning resources are available to support parents with remote schooling for the first two weeks of Term 2. Please refer to our website crescentlagoonss@eq.edu.au for all resources. There is also a home support address you can access homesupport@crescentlagoonss.eq.edu.au to support you if you are experiencing difficulties with online remote learning. Our main point of communication with parents will be Class Dojo, a message has been sent to parents to ensure they are connected to their child's class teacher. Class Dojo will keep you informed of what's going on, also you will be able to ask any questions or clarification on any of the resources. This will take affect from Term 2- 20th April. Teachers will be on a break from Friday 3rd April and will re commence on the 20th April. This is when teachers can be contacted.
The idea of being off school for the weeks to come might seem awesome to some and a nightmare for others this is a time for everyone to work together for however long this crisis plays out. Our kids are just as scared as we are right now. Our kids not only can hear everything that is going on but are constantly bombarded with television and the doom and gloom going on around the world. What our kids need right now is to feel comforted, loved and reassured that 'it's all going to be OK. That is the hope for everyone.
Updates will be posted on our website to inform you of any changes that may occur, this is a reliable source of information. Once again, I would like to thank the wonderful staff at Crescent Lagoon SS for their tireless work to ensure student learning continues in this difficult time.
Regards
Principal
