Introduction from Our Chaplain

Hi, my name is Kevin.  The kids know me as Chappy Kev or just Chappy.  My role as the school chaplain is to provide support to students, staff and families of the Crescent Lagoon School community.

During my days at Cresso (Wednesdays & Fridays) I visit lots of classes and chat to students and staff about all sorts of challenges that they might be having.  Often people (children and adults) just need someone safe who will listen to them and support them when needed.

You may also hear about my “LEGO lessons” where I use LEGO to teach various social and life skills while having loads of fun (I personally am a massive LEGO fan). I coach sporting teams for Friday sport. I work with senior classes to develop problem solving skills and analytical thinking.  Breakfast club is also a big part our program at Cresso and it’s fantastic that we have been able to extend Breakfast Club to Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  Actually there are lots of different things that I do to support the Cresso community.

Simply put, I’m here to support you.  If you need to chat please feel free to contact the school office and they will put me in touch with you.  There are times when I will simply phone various families just to touch base and say hi.

I love being part of the Cresso community and I look forward to supporting you however I can.

Thanks,

KEVIN WHITTINGTON
